[Outreachy announcement] Final applications due April 2 at 4 pm UTC

The Outreachy final applications are due tomorrow, April 2 at 4 pm UTC.

Please make sure to submit your final application early, even if it's a
draft. In the past, applicants have tried to submit their applications
at the very last minute, and miscalculated the timezones or hit a
website error. It's best to submit early and then edit.

You can edit your final application until the deadline tomorrow. You can
see a prompt to create your final application on your dashboard:

If they need to be changed, please contact the Outreachy organizers

After April 2, mentors will start making their intern selections.
Interns will be announced on May 6 at 4 pm UTC. Accepted interns will
receive an email, and the alums page will display the new interns:

During the intern selection process, you may receive emails from the
Outreachy organizers asking you clarifying questions about your initial
application. We will *never* email you asking you to withdraw your
application.

If you cannot reach your mentor to have them work on the project
timeline with you, do your best and make sure to submit your final
application early.
