This is a public, low-traffic list for people who want to be notified about the next Outreachy internship cohort. https://www.outreachy.org You can expect about six emails a year: 1. A call for mentors and mentoring organizations (open source and open science communities). 2. Notification that the initial applications are open for a new internship cohort. 3. A reminder 1 week before the deadline for initial applications. Outreachy internships and application periods run twice a year. The May to August internship application period opens in February, and the December to March internship application period opens in August. In order to keep emails to this list to a minimum, please send any questions about eligibility to the Outreachy organizers at applicant-help@outreachy.org. Using Announce
To post a message to all the list members, send email to announce@lists.outreachy.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Announce
Subscribe to Announce by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
